I got a call at 8:45 AM from my physical therapy clinic that my prior authorization had not come through and I would have to cancel my 1st appointment. I was SO angry. Cici calmed me down, directed me to call the insurance and get an answer as to what was going on. This is HUGE, as I usually make my husband call the insurance because I can’t keep calm when speaking with the insurance to save my life. Cici walked me through with what to specifically ask and I was calm and asked the insurance to inquire on the status of my prior authorization since the PT office had called saying it had never made it to them. I was shocked when they informed me that my prior authorization had been approved several days before. I thanked them and quickly called the PT office and told them my prior authorization had been approved several days earlier and asked if I could keep my 9:30 AM appointment? I could indeed keep the original appointment and I was so happy!  In fact, my prior authorization had arrived by the time I got to the PT office. Cici is a wealth of knowledge and is not afraid to share it. I’m bouncing things and questions that need answers off of her all the time! Shanna D.

Our child has autism, severe autism. Cici fought for him getting tests and medical needs met when our insurance didn’t understand he was a non verbal autistic child. She seemed to intuitively know how to handle his quirks of autism. She got down on the floor to speak with him, calmed him down during a meltdown during a doctor office visit. Our child trusted her like he did us. We are forever grateful that Cici took the lead to show us how to get our precious child the care he needed, with humor and wisdom. Deidre and Richard T.

Cici is completely amazing! She graciously helped my father in law when he was having trouble with his medical insurance paying a claim that needed to be paid. She did a three-way conversation between the insurance and my father in law and she was listening in and explaining the situation and pointing out that the service being denied was actually a covered benefit on his plan. The insurance reversed the denial right then and there after Cici pointed out that it was indeed a covered service under his insurance plan. We can’t thank her enough for making a tough situation better. -Renee R.

When my college bound student headed off for his first year of college last year, she took both my son and I aside before we dropped him off at school and made darn sure he was prepared in what he needed to know for getting doctor appointments, understanding medical insurance do’s and don’ts, where the doctor was, etc. WOW. What a relief for her to take the time (for a small fee) and make sure my child was prepared for college out of state and how to get medical help if and when he needed it. My momma’s heart was at peace sending him off to school knowing Cici had prepared him for being on his own for the first time when it came to medical stuff. Carole K.

What a godsend Cici was to our family! After learning that we had do funeral arrangements for a beloved family member unexpectedly and not knowing what the heck we were doing or even where to start because this hadn’t happened to our family before, Cici (our doctor’s medical coder) graciously took our family under her wing explaining having to do funeral arrangements for her 1st husband at the age of 34, having been married only a few months before his untimely death. With great insight and wisdom for someone far too young to have gone through this, she helped us get the funeral planned AND getting burial arrangements done (in a miraculous two days) and was always just a phone call away if we needed her. That one act of kindness from a staff member of our doctor in our time of desperate need and grief will always be fondly remembered by our entire extended family. She understood our stress and grief in a way that few people do, unless they have been through it. Dorris B., Mysti C., Becca S., Sierra K, Jazzmine R., Larry B., Justyn H.

When I confided in my childhood friend of over 40 years what was going on with my adult child, Cici advised me to immediately rush him to the hospital. The doctor told me that if I hadn’t listened to my childhood friend AND rushed my child to the Emergency Room like I was told, my adult child wouldn’t be alive right now. Had I waited, my child would have been dead within the hour with the septic infection spreading through his body that we were unaware of at the time. Cici knows what she’s talking about!
